Elder Lene McAllister
Elder Pernestaline McAlister is a resident of Chapel Hill, NC and is a native of Faison, NC. She is the daughter of Reverend Dr. George H. Barksdale, Sr. and Evangelist Evelyn Barksdale. She is the mother of three children: Osaybeyon, Aurelia
and Jean. She is also the grandmother to three sweet grandchildren: Piper, Zander and Khaleesi. Elder Designate has been in church all her life. She was taught about the goodness of Jesus and to love the Lord at a very young age and could be found at church each time the doors were open. It started with her attending and singing with the youth at St. Paul Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Clinton, NC with her grandparents, Mary Alice and the late James Raynor, Sr. She later joined the Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church in Turkey, NC and worked in several ministries.
After joining the army and traveling she ended up in Sacramento, CA. Although she was baptized as a youth, Elder Designate was baptized again and rededicated her life to the Lord at Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church. She worked in several ministries there and was also a member of the Sacramento Chapter of the Walter Hawkins Fellowship Choir.
It was here, under the leadership of Dr. Anthony Ramsey-Wallace, where she preached her Initial sermon on February 4, 2001. Upon returning home in 2002, she rejoined her home church of Greater Six Runs. On December 29, 2007, under the leadership of Pastor Leslie Morrisey, Jr. she was ordained as a Reverend. October of 2016, she moved again and joined Greater Love Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Mason.
In 2019, she began fellowshipping with Pentecost Restoration & Deliverance Center which she later joined on June 15, 2021. Under the leadership of Chief Apostle Otis and Pastor Evette Patterson, she is involved in the Fire Squad Training Academy, Pentecost Ignite, Sounds of Pentecost, Outreach Ministry, Smoldering Spoon, and the Prayer Warriors. Throughout all of her years in church and ministry, Elder Designate has served as a leader on a multitude of ministries. She has been on several panels and has completed multiple leadership trainings including the Pastoral Care in Community Training Program from Duke University.
Elder Designate prides herself in being a praiser and worshipper, an atmosphere changer, and a prayer warrior. She is a helper with a big heart and is always seeking and willing to help those in need. Being a perfectionist, she seeks to preach the Word and to serve the Lord with a spirit of excellence and humility. Her ultimate desire is to see people fully
embrace God’s love, to walk in victory while experiencing the fullness of God’s promises.
